Description
A four page newspaper describing the events related to the social groups and athletic clubs of the Fisk Tire Company for the week of November 7, 1919. The opening of the Fisk Athletic Association Hall is the lead photograph and story on this week's page one of the Bulletin. Other stories include topics such as Monday nights being women's night, with gymnastics, basketball and dancing, at the hall; the straw ride is postponed to Wednesday night and will include dinner and dancing afterwards; the final lineup for the minstrel show is being organized. Page two stories are about the upcoming turkey shoot and a women's sewing class being organized. Plus, you guessed it, the Question Box. On page three it's the Killarney Roses and their bowling success making the cut, along with a photograph of Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Velish leaving the church after taking their vows. Also, the Nolan's Mussers take on Pete's Pets in a challenge game and the Bead Room show they way in the safety contest. A photograph of the factory's messengers during Mrs. Lyons' Halloween party is at the bottom of the page. Page four gives the final lineup of the Red Tops basketball team and the bowling league update appears again. In other news, the quoits tournament will start to wrap up, there will be a boys outing on Armistice Day and there is a pool tournament in the planning stages. Also, the Water Bag Department wants to challenge any team to basketball. Maybe they should talk to Rick, of Rick's Pets.
