You can download and borrow ebooks and audiobooks from the CW/Mars digital catalog, or from our new Freading service.

Freading Instructons

Freading is an online catalog of Ebooks that are always available to check out. There are no waiting lists for any titles in Freading. Each week, you will get five tokens to use to borrow Ebooks. Ebooks cost between 1 and 4 tokens, depending on popularity. You can choose to spend your tokens, or save them for up to three weeks. To set up your device and computer, follow the instructions for setting up your device in the pamphlets listed below. Kindle books are not available in Freading at this time.

    • Did you know that CPL has purchased a special collection of ebooks in CW/Mars digital Catalog for Chicopee Residents? Ebooks are in great demand, and we wanted to have extra copies available to shorten the waiting periods for our patrons. The list below includes all the Ebooks we have purchased for our patrons, which are available through CW/Mars Overdrive

    To get access to all the Ebooks and digital content available to Chicopee residents, make sure you sign into Overdrive with your library card number when you search for Ebooks. Signing in will ensure that you see all the available items while you search. When you see this symbol , you will know that CPL has purchased an extra copy for Chicopee residents.
