A four page newspaper describing the events related to the social groups and athletic clubs of the Fisk Tire Company for the week of October 24, 1919. Page one rings in a new sports season with a banner headline calling for candidates for the Red Tops basketball team. A graphic with five photographs of the most recent safety winners centers the page and stories about the Halloween bash and minstrels practice round out the news. Its page two and the Question Box is there. Stories about the causes of the common cold, the attendance of the boys education class and the quoits tournament also appear. And, it will be Chauncey Allen and Connie Scollard in the tennis final. On page three it is noted the Whist Club will start meeting, the handball club holds its first matches, Walter Harris will take charge of the boys gym class and Lyra Rose was given a most enjoyable (wedding) shower. Plus, Fisk Hall is almost ready for the winter season of events. On page four we are treated to a third article by Elzear Forand on the safety conference. Doctor C.M. Holmes will be leaving Fisk Hospital to open his own business in Springfield. And, the men's bowling league opens with a bang. A grab bag of employee notes rounds out the news.
